PRESENT 		Chapel of Rest: 1990s death metal with elements of old school Metallica-type riffing, wrapped around sore throat vocals.
Best description of Chapel of Rest would be 'Jolly Spiffing Death Metal.'
With the Thrash scene dwindling in the early 1990s (thanks mainly to Metallica for wimping out) there needed to be a musical outlet for moshers who dismissed 3 chord grunge.
In Chapel of Rest, the complexity of thrash was maintained but grinding vocals progressed the sound to more of a death metal feel.
And isn't that what we all wanted, something decent to slam to!
