K.I.S.S System Shooting Benches

After a year of refinement EPC Inc. has developed a shooting bench that is truly portable and stable. The new benches weigh in at 29lbs and are stable enough to accurately support long range shooting (600+ yards).

The tables are now being manufactured in two table top designs. The first is a traditional L-shape, the second is a modified L shape which has less table area but can fit in smaller place. I've put one in the trunk of my daughter's Dodge Neon and we'll soon find out if they will fit in a Cessna.

Here is the basic layout of the modified L-shape. The L-shape model is almost exactly the same except it doesn't have the 45 degree chamfer on the upper left hand corner. The Modified L is a little lighter but has less table space. Most people find that the extra space isn't really necessary for basic shooting but it may be necessary for those who spot and reload all from their bench.

Both tables have only three legs which makes them stable on any terrain. Four legged tables tend to always have one leg off the ground. The table tops are 1.25 inch seven layer laminated ply. The top receives three coats of Gaco acrylic coating with the last coat has texturing added. The bottoms receive one coat to seal out the elements. Gaco Coating currently comes in four colors and all are available as options. The closest analogy for Gaco coating is Rhino lining for pickup beds.

The legs are 1.5" Hammer Coated seamless aluminum piping. This years models also have an improved leg attachment assembly that is welded and epoxy bedded to the table. This is a great advantage because there are no pins to lose or problems with corrosion. Also if the pipe connections loosen up a bit with age, you just screw the legs in a little farther. The pipe thread is tapered so the farther you screw the legs in the tighter the connection to the table becomes.

The table takes a minute to set up if you're slow and can be easily carried one handed. The old table weighed about 45lbs. This years model weighs 29lbs!

Left handed models are also available. Tables are built to order so there is no problem with models being out of stock. Once your order is received, a table is built from scratch, custom tailored to each order.
