Scraped, power washed, sand blasted, power washed a second time, primed with grey and ready to paint |
After three coats of International Red with a spray gun, ready to replace the sheet metal and accessories |
Finished with a coat of Ford Grey paint The radiator & cap, fan, generator, starter, air cleaner, tool box, and seat were painted black.
The exhaust manifold and pipe were painted with high heat flat black paint.
Our freshly painted 9 N Ford tractor was intended to be a working tractor, but now, not so sure. Thinking about getting a second one to fix up and use as the farm tractor.
Along with the 9 N, a plow, sickle mower, and a back blade for snow removal came with the tractor. We plowed about a third of an acre and mowed some grass around our yard with it.
The only mechanical work done was to pack the front and back wheel bearings while the wheels were off for prep and painting.
It was a fun and rewarding project. Glen and Connie Swinney
