Rabbinic Students from Chabad-Lubavitch visit Moscow-Pullman:

I just learned that two Rabbinic Students from Chabad-Lubavitch of Boise will visit Moscow on Sunday, August 29th.   They will be at the Jewish Community of the Palouse Annual Welcome Back Picnic which will be held in Moscow's East City Park between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM.

They are Rabbi Zalman Mendelsohn (of Miami, Florida) and Rabbi Zalman Newfield (of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY).  They are traveling Idaho to meet with various Jewish families.  They will be coming to Moscow from Coeur D'Alene; and they will visit McCall, Idaho on their way back to the Chabad office in Boise.

Chabad Lubavitch is a Chassidic movement whose "underlying principle is genuine love for and unquestioning acceptance of every Jew."  The Rabbis are aware that our Jewish Community contains many who are cultural and secular (non-religious) Jews.  They are hoping to find out how Chabad can assist and provide support for our members.  They have had considerable experience providing outreach to communities ... such as in Beijing (China), in Russia (where they conducted a seder for 150 Jews) and in Singapore (where they spent a year).

If you are unable to attend the JCP Picnic, but you would like to meet with the Rabbis, please let me know.  They may be able to visit you earlier or later that day.
