1 recipe My Grandmother's Best Biscuits
(add 2T sugar) (recipe follows)
!/4 C. soft butter
2 cups sugar (divided use)
Nutmeg
2 cups boiling water
Roll dough into 12 x 8 rectangle. Spread with soft
butter. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and nutmeg. Roll up
and slice into slices about 1 inch thick like for
cinnamon rolls. Put in 9-inch pan. Sprinkle with 1 1/2
cups sugar and more nutmeg. Pour 2 cups boiling water
over all. Bake at 450 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or
until bubbly and golden brown. Serve with cream or ice
cream, if desired. This serves just one if its my cousin
Paul, but usually about six or so.
