DELI PIE So simple! Small slices can be served as an appetizer, or serve large slices with a salad 2 packages refrigerated crescent rolls 1 egg 1/4 - 1/2 lb thinly sliced deli ham, hard salami, pepperoni and provolone - mix to your personal taste 1 small jar pimento (or use sweet red peppers) Spread out 1 can of the crescent roll in bottom of a baking pan. Layer meat in any order and combination, according to your taste. Cover with the 2nd can of crescent rolls over the top and pinch the edges so they close as if making a pie. Beat the egg and brush on the top layer of cresent rolls. Using a fork, prick holes in the top layer to vent. Bake in oven at 350° until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Cut cooked 'deli pie' into squares, triangles, any serving shape you want. Can be eaten hot or cold. |
