pounds pickling cucumbers
2/3 cup green pepper -- chopped
1 1/2 cups celery -- chopped
6 med. onions -- sliced
1/4 cup prepared mustard
2/3 cup vinegar
4 cups vinegar
1/2 cup salt
3 1/2 cups sugar
2 Tbs. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. whole cloves
3 Tbs. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. alum
Blend mustard with 2/3 cup vinegar; then add 4 cups
vinegar along with the rest of the ingredients. Cover and

into hot, sterilized jars. Seal at once. Makes 9 pints.
