***************
This same weekend, our beloved Aza,
Vega Shelk Shpinel, was lost at the Eagle CO shows when she worked the
zipper of her soft crate open
while owner Peg Arnold was in the ring. A
HUGE THANK YOU is in order to everyone who helped in the 12 hour search
for
Aza.
Every effort made was equally important, because
any one of them might have been the one resulting in her return.
She was recovered thanks to the kindness of
a local landscape gardener, who found her standing in the road, dehydrated,
exhausted, and unable to take another step
on her painfully worn-out feet, which had no pads left.
It was 94 degrees in the air that day; who
knows what the temperature of the asphalt she ran on was.
This kind man called for help for Aza,
and stayed with her, protecting her from traffic, until Peg arrived.
Aza is recovering
comfortably at home in her favorite spaces and positions, see below...
Peg, you go girl, too, and in the worst of
circumstances. Photos courtesy Peg Arnold
